@Hero

zarkam21:

is it 1.5kg so 21.5kg?

zarkam21:

The directions are to find the sum and then simplify

Hero:

can I see the question as written from the original document or textbook?

Hero:

Like a screenshot

Hero:

Or photo upload

Hero:

If you don't want to do upload it that's fine. I'm already busy with other work.

Hero:

21.5 kg is the correct simplification.

Hero:

Hecto means hundred so 15 hectograms mean 1500 grams which is the same as 1kg + 5hg or 1kg + (1/2)kg

zarkam21:

18.25 for B

Hero:

When in doubt, just translate it to actual numbers

Hero:

7000 g + 5000g + 8000g + 1500g = 21,500g = 21.5kg

zarkam21:

Yeah im actually helpingmy little sister and she wont trust my opinion with answers when I expllain so... :/

Hero:

It's totally okay to use references for these. But it is common knowledge that 3ft = 1yd 12in = 1ft

Hero:

So if you have to express everything in terms of yards, then first convert inches to feet. Then feet to yards.

zarkam21:

Yeah she just needs proof

zarkam21:

that it is right

Hero:

Okay I get it. But there are plenty online resources you can use to verify your answers.

zarkam21:
