An Internet provider predicted that its of customers would increase 18% in a year. At the start of the year, it had 56,820 customers. At the end of the years, it had 69,965 customers. Was the Internet provider's prediction accurate? Please tell me how to do it to get the right answer. Thank you

Shadow:

In order to solve this, we need to solve for 18% of 56,820, as the prediction is that it will increase by 18% in one year. \[18\% = 0.18\] \[56,820 \times 0.18 = 10,227.6\] \[56,820 + 10,227.6 =67,047.6\]
