Pam likes to practice dancing while preparing for a math tournament. She spends 80 minutes every day practicing dance and math. To help her concentrate better, she dances 20 minutes more than she works on math. Part A: Write a pair of linear equations to show the relationship between the number of minutes Pam practices math every day (x) and the number of minutes she dances every day (y).
no she dances and does math in total for 80 minutes
dance AND math put together
she just dances 20 minutes more than she studies math
Derick hush
I did good on my collage math test e.e
College*
welp... then she would do an hour of dancing and 40 mins of math, right?
no
60 + 40 = 100 100 = 80
I would like to point out I slept less than 13 hours in the last 3 days, why you bully me Derick
congrates ang. thats more thn i get
I stayed up till 5 am vcing my gf everyday for 4 days getting up at 7 so 8 hours
anywayyyy
x + y = 80
ik that part, thats easy. so if its not what i said before, thn it means that it should look like 20x + 60y = 80
right?
no
60 - 20 = 40 40=20
damn
she does 20 minutes more so its x + y+20=80
x + (y+20) = 80
oh... ok thn it would look like 20x + (40y + 20) = 80 right?
sry, hard to see the stupid keyboard rn bc its dark. i should probs fix that
remove the variables
we tried to find x and y
is that the next step or would that be the answer?
i think its done but ask dude
Cant you actually just google this
google is blocked on my side
@dude heeelppp
next step: How much time does Pam spend on practicing math every day?
How did you get on here
wdym?
She dances 20 minutes more than math, keep that in mind. So dancing has to be 20 minutes higher. Pretty sure its 45 and 25
that doesnt make sense to me tho :/
So like 80 minutes is the total time right?
right
I messed up
45 + 25 = 70
DERICK IF YOU DONT STOp
yea thats y i was confused lol
ang chill lol :) reelllaaxxxaaaa lmao
JEEZ I MTRYING TO BE HELPFUL IMMA JUST GIVE UP FORGET WHAT I SAID ON THIS POST
Im sorry Im actually laughing
I shall fix my mistake one second
50 30
that would make more sense
last part: Is it possible for Pam to have spent 60 minutes practicing dance every day? Explain your reasoning.
Well it has to be 80 in total as well as dance has to be 20 minutes more
So that would mean in that case dance would have to be 40 minutes, 40+60 is not 80
k, so thats a no, correct? cause thats what i thought
Indeed
ok thx :)
