Can someone help me with this plz...
0.0075(x^3-x^2) how do i multiply this
@Shadow
Distributive properly:\[a(b + c)\] You multiply a by both b and c. Although this is it's most simplified form, and doing so would expand it.
the teacher also mentions graphing it so i would be good to go to graph this?
I am unfamiliar with how to graph expressions in this form, I would refer to here: https://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=0.0075(x%5E3-x%5E2)
Copy and paste the link into your browser, or input the expression into Wolfram yourself here: https://www.wolframalpha.com
ah thank you one last thing is this correct including distributing it and everything 0.0075(7x^2)=0.0525
No..
Input into wolfram and it will show you the expanded form, but the coefficient 0.0075 attaches to x^3 and -x^2
I am unsure where you got this stuff "(7x^2)=0.0525"
no i multiplied 0.0075(7x^2)
would it be more clear if i showed you the original problem?
Yes..
http://prntscr.com/lqbm3w my two volumes for the first candle is (x^3-x^2) and the second candle is (7x^2)
so i started off by multiplying 3/4*0.01 = 0.0075 then i multiplied that by my volumes
Hmm I am not entirely sure on how to approach this. Perhaps @Hero could take a look. He's better at this sort of thing than me.
