migrainebye:

Can someone help me with my geometry homework? I haven't been in class for four days and I have no idea how to do this.

satellite73:

for 5 and 7, the smallest angle is opposite the smallest side, largest angle opposite longest side

satellite73:

can you do 9?

migrainebye:

for #5 and #7?

migrainebye:

#5 Smallest: <Q Middle: <R Largest: <P

Shadow:

The way I think of it, the angle corresponds to the side it is 'looking' at. http://prntscr.com/lrrxa3 Perhaps that will help you envision it. But anyway, the point is that if the length of a side is smaller than another side, then the angle to which it corresponds to will be smaller in value than the angle that corresponds to the other side.

Shadow:

And that is correct.

migrainebye:

That diagram helps a lot, thank you

Shadow:

I think you got the rest from here. The concept is fairly simple.

migrainebye:

is #7 Smallest: <F Middle: <H Largest: <G

Shadow:

Yes

migrainebye:

can i do them all and you check them?

Shadow:

Sure

migrainebye:

Thank you. ill try to finish them up

migrainebye:

is #6 smallest - largest <M, <K <L

migrainebye:

#8 <X <Y <Z

migrainebye:

#10 <U <S <T

Shadow:

Check #6

Shadow:

#8 is good

migrainebye:

im not really sure about #6 and #9

migrainebye:

is #9 <B <A <C

Shadow:

and recheck #10

Shadow:

#9 is also incorrect. Recall that a triangle has three angles, and the sum of these angles will always be 180 degrees. If you are given two angles, you can solve for the third angle (as there would then be only one unknown, and you can create an equation). Additionally, a box in the angle means that it has a measure of 90 degrees.

migrainebye:

oh yeah i already labeled it as <B - 48º <C-90º <A-42º

Shadow:

Yeah, you have to change up the order a bit

lowkey:

HEY GEOMETRY QUEEN HERE WADDYA WANT

migrainebye:

im still unsure of how to do #9, #6, and #10 some of them arent across from anything??

lowkey:

All triangles add up to 180 degrees What do you know about #9 (:

lowkey:

Beat ya :)

migrainebye:

i know that the measurements are <B - 48º <C-90º <A-42º

Shadow:

Yes so rank them smallest to largest

Shadow:

The angles.

lowkey:

So first order the angle in increasing order.

lowkey:

Aye aye back off hunty

lowkey:

Do you know how to use sine, cosine, and tangent?

migrainebye:

<A, <B, <A smallest-largest is this the order??? and no idk how to use sine, cosine, and tangent

lowkey:

You mean <C

lowkey:

Wait nvm the sine thing is irrelevant hehe

migrainebye:

oh yes sorry <A <B <C

migrainebye:

@lowkey
