you are given F = (9/5)C + 32 to isolate C, think about what is being done to C; it's added to 32 and multiplied by 9/5 so to isolate C, we have to do the opposite: subtract 32 first, then divide both sides by (9/5) after that simply plug in F = -4 to find the solution
