this is a very old question but I will respond so this can be closed I (capital I) represents income x is age so they give you the income 250,000, let this be I in the equation and solve for the age, x. it wants the youngest age so you will select the lower value if there are two values, but keep in mind age can only be positive. you may solve this by subtracting 250,000 from both sides and factoring what's left
