Train A traveled 173 miles in five hours. For Train B, y = 31.35x represents its rate of speed over the same five hours. Which train traveled at a faster rate and by what factor?

Mercury:

old question but will answer so this can be closed train A --> 173 miles in five hours. the speed is (distance)/time train B --> y = 31.35x. in general y = mx + b, m is the rate of change. so for train B the speed is 31.35 miles per hour. see which train is faster based on this information.
