zarkam21:

This is what my textbook says

zarkam21:

zarkam21:

zarkam21:

Vocaloid:

yeah those are right

Vocaloid:

your solutions are good

Vocaloid:

uh i'm not 100% sure on the greg one but since his parents are trying to discourage a behavior (getting bad grades) I'd put that as negative punishment rather than negative reinforcement

Vocaloid:

otherwise i think it's good

zarkam21:

for this one I know the aspirin one is right

zarkam21:

not sure about the other one

Vocaloid:

I think negative reinforcement is probably the best since removing the negative stimulus encourages the behavior of pressing the button

zarkam21:

the behavior is decreases by a stimulus so pos punishment

zarkam21:

oh okay thanks

zarkam21:

Vocaloid:

hm I think the second one might be fixed interval as well, since the behavior is being rewarded at a fixed set of time fixed interval would be more like "he gets an allowance every 5 chores" or something

zarkam21:

zarkam21:

zarkam21:

zarkam21:

This is just in case :')

Vocaloid:

yeah I remember what the definitions are, those are just my thoughts on the matter

zarkam21:

Vocaloid:

my best attempt for the dancing one: since the women may or may not say yes, and whether they say yes is not really based on a fixed ratio or time, I would probably say variable ratio. his behavior will be rewarded after (some) number of attempts

Vocaloid:

for question 4, if the dog is being rewarded every single time that's continuous

zarkam21:

zarkam21:

not sure if 5 is what i have now or continuous

Vocaloid:

hm my best guess for 5) whether he gets messages or not depends on the interval of time, not how often he checks it, so I'm inclined to say variable interval not variable ratio for 6) for every three assignments his behavior is rewarded. it's based on his actions, not his time, so fixed ratio not fixed interval
