@dude

dude:

When dividing fractions, multiply the first fraction by the reciprocal of the second

Nicole:

5x^2/3 times 2/10x equals x/3

Nicole:

correct?

dude:

Yes

dude:

Same idea applies here Do \(\large \frac{x^2+6x+8}{x^2+9x+20} \times \frac{x+5}{x-6}\)

Nicole:

x+2/x-6 is the answer so B

dude:

Right For this question you cross multiply

Nicole:

Can you show me how please?

Nicole:

or wait wouldnt it be A or B?

Nicole:

I cant see that

Nicole:

so wouldnt it be A?

dude:

It is A lol \(3a\times x-5=7\times a^2-25\) When two numbers are next to each other without a sign, it means they are being multiplies So, \(3a\times x-5=7\times a^2-25\) \(\bf \large \color{green}{=}\) \(\bf \color{green}{3a(x-5)=7(a^2-25)}\)

Nicole:

Ohhh okay got it

dude:

Nice okay

Nicole:

dude:

I mean we were just doing cross multiplication so I guess you can assume what the answer is

Nicole:

B?

dude:

Whoops just checked and doesnt seem to be right (You can try to graph these btw)

Nicole:

so what do I do to find the answer? @dude
