once you have chosen your recipe, for each ingredient you will set up a proportion where

(amount of ingredient in recipe) / (number of people served by recipe) = x/(50 people)
and solve for x. this will tell you how much of that particular ingredient you need to serve 50 people.

then repeat for the other three ingredients
