Rob Retiree gets a Social Security benefit of $800 per month. His wife receives a benefit equal to 50 percent of Rob's benefit. If they take an additional $300 per month from savings, what will their monthly income be?

Mercury:

I might be over-simplifying this question but from what I understand his wife gets 50% of the benefit, so 50% of 800 so adding their monthly income we get 800 + 50% of 800, plus 300 more from savings
