Here is your goal for this assignment:

Write a descriptive essay.

Write a descriptive essay using vivid images.

Your composition must be a minimum of two paragraphs, at least 250 words total. For this project, introduction and conclusion paragraphs are not needed. Use specific words, simile, metaphor, personification, and/or hyperbole to create vivid images. Select one of the suggested topics or one of your own.

Possible topics:

a frightening experience
preparing and eating popcorn
the scenery in a beautiful (or ugly) place
Your essay will be graded based on the following:

your attention to the instructions given above
correct demonstration of a descriptive composition
word count as stated in the instructions
use of proper punctuation, spelling, grammar, and sentence construction (commonly called "conventions"), and appropriate length
