(play name in italics + space + act #.scene#.line #'s)

ex. (Julius Caesar 1.2.1-2) ---> Julius Caesar, Act 1, Scene 2, Lines 1-2
some teachers may prefer for you to use roman numerals for the act and scene; in that case you would use capital roman numerals for the act and lowercase for the scene

don't include author or page #'s

I'm not 100% sure on APA but I believe you would use Shakespeare instead of the play name
