Patrick watched as Michael Phelps scored his final gold medal at the Beijing Olympics. His coach had to literally pull him away from the TV screen. Phelps was Patrick's role model. Sitting at the gym, Patrick couldn't believe any human could swim the way Phelps did. Lap after lap, Phelps seemed more and more like a dolphin. Patrick constantly thought about reaching such great heights himself. At school, in his room, and even in the library, he thought about creating his own record. He was prepared to work very hard to achieve this goal. Grabbing his towel, Patrick couldn't wait to hit the water. Coach is in for a real surprise, he thought to himself.
