Locate and examine user-generated content on the Internet. In this lesson we learned how regular citizens are using digital technology and the Internet to create their own digital content and information. We discussed some user-generated content already in this lesson (Facebook, blogs). You can choose user-generated content that is audio, photo, video, a blog or a combination of these elements. The topics can be news, humor, or special interest. The only requirement is that the content is user-generated and of interest to you. List the two websites and write a paragraph for each on why you find this digital content interesting. Discord and Facebook?
sure
For this project, I chose Facebook and Discord. I find this digital content interesting because I'm a loner and it's easier to stalk users. I find out information quicker and share it with those who didn't know. Both let me know when one of my victims are online. However, Discord allows me to go ghosty. I think Discord is better. You should try it.

We've seen how regular citizens are using digital technology and the Internet to create their own digital content and information. For this project, I chose two websites that contain user-generated content. After examining a few user-generated websites, I decided to stick with Facebook and Discord. Analyzing the site, Discord caught my interest immediately. Discord is a relaxing site where you are able to chat with friends, listen to music, and join and create servers. It's almost like having a virtual home. Servers are private group chats. You join a server by receiving an invitation (link). You may create your own emojis, attach files, post pictures, and you have your own profile. If you're new, it is confusing to understand how things work, however, with a few organizational edits, the site would be great. When it comes to Facebook, it's almost similar to Discord. Facebook is a site created to communicate with friends and family. You're able to post pictures, share videos, and create group chats. You're also given a "Timeline." A Timeline is a profile where you post your pictures, share other posts, share videos, and a few other things. Unlike Discord, Facebook is more organized and easier to function. Facebook also brings flashbacks once a certain time has passed. You're also able to save a post and view it later.
