Identify quality photos online

If you don’t have access to a digital camera or choose not to participate in taking photos you can search the web for five photos that you believe have artistic merit.

Post the photos and write a few lines under each photo about why you think it is an example of good quality photography.

Assignment Guidelines:

REMEMBER: You have to follow one track of assignments; either shoot photos or write about photos. You can not mix the tracks.

Submission Requirements:

Track 1: A log of questions or comments about the process of familiarizing yourself with a digital camera.

Track 2: Photos and a description of why they appeal to you.

Proof read for spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Remember to use complete sentence structure.
Paragraphs need to have a minimum of six sentences.

The first image I selected was the waterfall. I found this image appealing because it brings a sense of serenity and adventure. The waterfalls and water's color create a calming feel. While the forest in the background invites you to explore its beauty. When it comes to color, the bright color from the water compliments the bright leaves. It blocks out the flaws of nature.

The second image I selected was the American flag. I find this image appealing because it shows the accomplishment of man to reach a goal that centuries ago, it was impossible. It not only shows a lesson but also is historical and adventurous. The contrast color from the flag and astronaut caught my interest. As the background is black, the flag adds color to the image. Everything is filled with dark colors except the flag and astronaut -red, white, and blue.

The third image I selected was the pyramid. Knowing the history, I found it appealing. The image creates a satisfying yet dull sense. The colors involved in this image is what makes the image dull. However, the texture creates a deserted appearance. The sky contrasts the beige color.

The fourth image I selected was the ocean. It creates a sense of adventure and mystery. I found this image appealing because it isn't piled up nor is it empty. As the fog covers the lower part, it brings curiosity and mystery. The scuba diver also brings mystery to the image as they travel with a flashlight. To avoid an empty image and an overflow of the same color, sticks, and sand are found in the center.

The fifth image I selected was the aurora borealis. I find the colors the most appealing. This image creates a restful sensation. As the trees create a dark tone, the sky is bright. The colors start from a peach color up to dark blue. The lime green contrasts which would make it the first thing to focus on.
