Ideas of discussion and research questions regarding the first 3 months of pregnancy?
Example :: Research question: If a mother consumed a high amount of one particular food item will the child show a preference for this food in the first few months? IV : One type of food consumed highly during pregnancy DV: Child preference for the food after birth Discussion question: Why do you think to teratogens have such a harmful effect on a developing fetus rather than an adult? For example adults can consume alcohol and continue to develop properly, while a developing child may have severe complications.

that looks good to me
thats an example so for own question be good as :
... oh ok well off the top of my head, listening to music (esp. classical) during pregnancy was theorized to lead to higher academic performance as a child, could possibly do something with that
Research Question: Does listening to music during pregnancy lead to higher academic performance as a child? IV: Listening of music during pregnancy DV: Academic Performance as a child
good start, if you want to be more specific you can make the IV "average time per day spent listening to music" or something
as for research questions, one of the big things with this hypothesis was that it's not really that classical music causes children to be smarter, it's more like parents who are already smart/well-educated/wealthy are more likely to listen to classical music[ so a possible discussion question could be "What other variables could be involved in a positive correlation between listening to music during pregnancy and the child's later academic performance"
ugh so its about the babys first 3 months after its born
so i could just alter the music question a bit and instead of saying during the pregnancy say while the baby is sleeping or somethign?
oh, in that case, you could do something like, "music preferences during the first few months of life"
oh, yeah that works too
Studies show that playing music while a newborn sleeps leads to a higher academic performance. Is this true? IV: Playing music DV: Academic Performance as a child
good, if I can be a bit pedantic it's really classical music, not just music in general, that has been talked about this way
and then for discussion I can just do What other variables could be involved in a positive correlation between listening to music while a newborn sleeps and the child's later academic performance
sure
