Well have you got any idea why or how?

Razor:

Not a clue

Mehek:

Have you learned about alternate interior angles?

Razor:

Kinda sorta dude said they were like parallel lines that are opposite of each other

Mehek:

|dw:1549319693828:dw| so their rule is that the angles opposite of each other inside parallel lines are equal, so for example if one of the green is said to be 70 degrees, the other green one is 70

Mehek:

And in you're problem they want you to tell why D = 120 degrees, so do you kind of get the idea?

Razor:

Oh ok so I would say because its opposite angle is equal to it because of its Alternate Interior lines or something like that correct?

Mehek:

D is 120 degrees because it's an alternate interior angle to 120 degrees something like that ^

Mehek:

and they want you to add congruent so let's try to fit that in

Mehek:

You could say D is 120 degrees because alternate interior angles are congruent

Razor:

Okay

Mehek:

How about the next one? Any idea?

Razor:

Should we first have to know if its obtuse or acute or something?

Mehek:

Well not really but I guess you can see that it's smaller than <D so it's definitely below 120 degrees

Razor:

It's also smaller then 90 degrees

Mehek:

correct

Mehek:

do you know what the degree of a line is?

Mehek:

|dw:1549320574302:dw|

Razor:

oh Yeah it could be 180 right? When I look at it I stop it right by the first other line by F...

Mehek:

You're correct about it being 180

Razor:

uwu awesome

Mehek:

|dw:1549320761460:dw| so i marked all the places where it's 180 degrees

Mehek:

it seems a lot but they're all irrelevant except one

Mehek:

|dw:1549320904046:dw| this is the one we're looking at rn. and as we established a few moments ago, a line = 180 degrees

Mehek:

are you following so far?

Razor:

Yeah. Those other are irrelevant because we are only focusing on figuring out the angle of E

Mehek:

yes good

Mehek:

|dw:1549321008444:dw|

Mehek:

so there's our angles

Razor:

okay F not included

Mehek:

|dw:1549321070234:dw|

Mehek:

no if we included F it would be more than 180 cause 180 is just above the line

Mehek:

So <D = 120 and <D + <E = 180 120 + <E = 180 Whats <E?

Razor:

E is less then 90 right?

Mehek:

Yeah, we're looking for the exact number

Mehek:

120 + <E = 180 <E = 180 - 120 = ?

Razor:

Couldn't we subtract 180 from 120? That's how I used to do a lot of my problems

Mehek:

Correct

Mehek:

well 120 from 180

Razor:

Well yeah XD Order counts

Razor:

60 degrees

Razor:

@Mehek

Mehek:

Correct

Mehek:

So E = 60 degrees

Razor:

Okay ho would we put that into a sentence as it asks tho? Or like is says "What is the measure of angle E and why (use vocab terms as proof) The vocab terms are congruent, Alternate interior and alternate exterior
