Using vivid imagery, describe a setting that has a suspenseful or frightening mood. Your description should be four to six sentences.
One night Jackson was walking through the woods. As he walks through the woods he hears a scream coming from the river down the hill. As he got closer to the scream his heart beat sounds like its going to pop out of his chest. As his feet hit the ground next to the river it goes quiet. He then looks around calling for the girl who screamed but no one was there. As he turned around he saw a lady dressed in a white wedding dress but its covered with dirt. As he goes closer to the lady to see if she is alright he notices her skin is grey. He looks up to look her in the face. What he see's is nothing hes ever seen before. he starts trembling with fear. he doesnt know what to do. as the lady steps closer and closer towards him he feels a hand on his back. he turns and the lady is behind him. His scream echo's through the forest and he was never seen again.

Using several different examples of imagery, you could put the reader in the shoes of a person who is in the middle of a gun fight, or an arrow fight. Here! I breathe in; I breathe out. The fresh mountain air penetrates my senses. A slight draft of cool air blows a brownish - gold lock of hair in front of my complexion. I dip my fingertips into the crystal waters of the pristine lake in front of me. My touch triggers many waves, disturbing the stillness of the waters. I feel my bow and arrow in my left hand , with its power. I slowly rise to my feet, taking in my surroundings. The silver light of the moon casts a beautiful light over the pond. The light also casts long shadows along the ground, creating an eerie effect. I turn to head home empty handed, and hear rustling in the bushes directly behind me. I drop to the ground as an arrow slams into the bark of a tree, sending splinters flying into the air. I draw my bow, and take aim. Another arrow soars past, passing far above my head. I loose the arrow, and it flies true to the path I set it on. I hear a loud crack as the arrow finds its target. Another arrow misses me narrowly, and I draw an arrow once more. This arrow came from the top of the oak on the other side of the lagoon. I take aim, and let loose once more. The arrow mounts upon the air, and misses the treetop by a fraction of
an inch*
A dark forest lays in the middle of nowhere. Citizens that enter never leave. legend states that their is a haunted castle in the middle of the forest. It is said that you can only see the castle from the sky on a full moon.
