Mandarin Tutorial: Studying Chinese Abroad

\({\bf{Vocabulary:}}\) ok without knowing the dialogue these words don't really seem to fit in that well with the theme of studying abroad but unfortunately I can't post the dialogue w/o violating copyright >_>. that being said I hope it's helpful. Verbs: 做 (zuò): to do, to make, etc. has a wide variety of uses, get used to this verb 爱上 (ài shàng): to fall in love with. 爱 by itself means "to love" 想 (xiǎng): to like, to want to, etc. used to indicate actions you would like to do. 了解 (liǎo jiě): to understand, ex: 我不了解法文 = I don't understand French 后悔 (hòu huǐ): to regret the way it's used in the dialogue, it's the status-part of a status-verb, so 我很后悔 = I am regretful/I have regrets. also 悔 is a ***** of a character to write so look up the stroke order. 补 (bǔ) to make up for the way it's used in the dialogue, 我补补课 = I make up for classes
的时侯 (de shí hóu) during/when. 我学中文的时候 "When I was studying Chinese..." 原来 (yuán lái) originally, so 原来我要 "originally I was going to..." 赶快 (gǎn kuài) quickly or promptly, used as a modifier before an action 生意 (shēngyi) business, like "doing business" or "studying business" 过奖 (guò jiǎng) flattery 谦虚 (qiān xū) modesty. you would think "modesty" would be simple to write but no >_> 所以 (suǒyi) so or therefore
