1. just take the derivative and plug in t = 5. this is the rate at which unprocessed gravel arrives at the 5th hour in the workday 2. take the integral of the function from t = 0 to t = 8 3. not 100% sure but they might be asking whether the second derivative at t = 5 is positive or negative 4. it wants the maximum of the original function G so simply set the first derivative equal to 0, solve for t, then plug this back into the original function to get max G
