RealLifeJuul:

at a school dance, Juan paid $2.05 for 1 drink and 2 cookies. Keisha paid for $1.85 for 1 cookie and 2 drinks. whas is the cost of 1 cookie and 1 drink. $1.20 $1.25 $1.30 $1.35

RealLifeJuul:

@dude :D

dude:

Set a system of inequalities x = drinks y= cookies Juan: \(x+2y=2.05\) Keisha: \(2x+y=1.85\) You can use any system (Substitution, eliminating) I will use substitution \(x+2(1.85-2x)=2.05\) \(\boxed {x=0.55}\) Now substitute it back in for y (into either equation) \(0.55+2y=2.05\) \(\boxed {y=0.75}\)

dude:

To find total (for each), add them up

dude:

\(0.55+0.75\)

RealLifeJuul:

yeah I did

RealLifeJuul:

I got 1.3
