Leaning towards A

@rootbeer003, For the three answers that you consider to be a method, explain how they are a method. And for the one you think isn't, explain how it isn't a method.

rootbeer003:

Method = "a particular form of procedure for accomplishing or approaching something, especially a systematic or established one." "How a person gets to a house" - approaching and establishing how to get to a house "The way a person responds to a surprise" -approaching and establishing a surprise from a response "How a person brushes his or her teeth" - How he or she establishes brushing teeth "The way a person types" - Not establishing or approaching anything

Hero:

Okay, you're willing to engage which is great. Now, consider this: There are some elements or words associated with "method". These words are 1. Planning 2. Systematic 3. Procedure 4. Pattern 5. Logic So, basically, the way to approach this is to think about whether there are systems that already exists for the behaviors in question. Are there established PROCEDURES that already exist for brushing teeth? Can someone PLAN a route to go from A to B using their GPS? Can someone how to type using a SYSTEM that already exists? For these things there are usually established systems that already exist. Now, as far as reacting to a surprise, how do you plan for that?

rootbeer003:

When you react to a surprise I don't think you can plan it out

rootbeer003:

OR i might be wrong

Hero:

Yes, exactly, there is really no method or system that exists for reacting to a surprise and you have very little time to plan for it. Often times, you never know it's coming. If you did know beforehand, then it wouldn't really be a surprise.

Hero:

So reacting to surprises is definitely not a method. Correct.

rootbeer003:

Interesting, thank you for your help
