I came across this question; For what interval is the function x^2 increasing? The answer given was [0, infinity). Is this correct because I thought that the first bracket should be '(' as at 0 the value is 0 - it does n't start to increase until its greater than 0. Am I right?

So the square bracket is correct?
At (0,0) the function is neither increasing nor decreasing. So the function is increasing on the interval \((0, \infty)\)
