Warriorz13:

What is the difference between natural rain and acid precipitation?

Vocaloid:

normal rain is a product of the water cycle and has a near-neutral pH acid rain is the product of reactions between water, air, and gaseous oxides like NO and SO2, and has a pH of about 5-6. acid rain is harmful for several reasons: 1. most aquatic wildlife cannot survive if the pH of water deviates from what they are adapted to 2. it can dissolve minerals needed for plants to survive, and interfere with normal uptake of water 3. the gaseous oxides react w/ air to create irritants that can cause respiratory/circulatory problems in people and animals https://www3.epa.gov/acidrain/education/site_students/whatisacid.html
