Planaria by nature reproduce by hermaphroditism or fragmentation. The picture depicts fragmentation. Thus it's asexual reproduction. Funny thing is I learned this a couple of hours ago.

However, you don't need to know it all in depth, but just notice that there's only 1 parent. When there's 1 parent it's asexual, and when there are 2 parents it's sexual reproduction.
