Google is your friend, this is kindergarten stuff but nevertheless... Energy is, essentially, a force or power that comes from various different sources. Energy comes in a variety of types that can all be derived from mechanical interaction, chemical reaction, simple movement etc.

Energy can't created or destroyed, obviously. It Gets transferred via transformation. When you flick a switch many different kinds of energy are made. Your still finger is potential energy, the act of it moving is kinetic, the switch maintains potential mechanical energy when the switch is flicked mechanical energy is exerted and so on and so forth.

You can simply define Energy as the capacity to do Work. Every work can be done by applying force and the energy and force are related to each other.
