Question about the solution for this lipid question

Vocaloid:

Mass spectrometry - can identify the mass but not identity of lipids - can be used to identify individual lipids in mixtures - cannot determine the locations of double bonds in a fatty acid - cannot be used w/ lipids other than fatty acids apparently B is the solution but how does mass spec identify where the double bonds are? from my knowledge it fragments the analyte so you can tell the mass of individual components but how would that distinguish the presence of double bonds?
