shasha12:

I'm really confused on this question but I think it could be D? Organisms can have both dominant and recessive genes. An organism must have one copy of a dominant gene for that certain dominant trait to appear. However, recessive genes require two two copies of the gene for it to appear. In a flower population, purple flowers are a dominant trait and white flowers are a recessive trait. Which statement is MOST likely correct about the offspring from this flower population? A) Offspring that receive a dominant gene from each parent will have white flowers. B) Offspring that receive a recessive gene from each parent will have purple flowers. C) Offspring that receive a recessive gene from one parent and a dominant gene from another parent will have white flowers. D) Offspring that receive a recessive gene from one parent and a dominant gene from another parent will have purple flowers.
