I can do the integration just fine but I'm still confused about how to parametrize this

Not sure I get all of the jargon, but reckon this is the spherical area ... having scooped out the ice cream cone at the top of the sphere

just swapping letters around:

If: \(v = \phi, ~~~ u = \theta\)

Then: \(S = \int\limits_{ \pi/3}^{\pi} ~ \int\limits_{0}^{2 \pi}~ 16 \sin v ~~ d u ~~ ~ d v \)
