Jake drags a sled of mass 10 kg across the snow. The sled is attached to a rope that he pulls with a force of 30 N at an angle of 25 degrees. If there is no friction, what is the normal force acting on the sled?

Let the aacceleration due to gravity \[9.8m/s ^{2}\] The weight of the sled (acting downwards) is \[W=10g=10*9.8=98N\] The vertical component of the tension in the rope is \[V=30*\sin25ยบ=12.7N\] THe normal force on the ground is \[N=98-12.7 = 85.3N\]
