@Shadow would you mind getting to this when you get a chance?

GNTJLYS:

1. Modeling - Did you mean participant modeling or Cognitive Behavior Therapy (modeling)? Participant modeling: a model demonstrates and the client is asked to copy the exact action. It's used for smoking and a couple of anxiety disorders CBT: Indirect therapy (meaning the client just speaks, the therapist will only listen), used to make clients start thinking rationally from irrationally. It's hard to use on patients with Schizophrenia or any other delusional disorders.

GNTJLYS:

2. Differential reinforcement: There's a whole set of behaviors, some good and some bad. You only reinforce good behavior and you're punishing bad behavior so that the bad behavior gets extinguished.

GNTJLYS:

Psychosexual Stages There were 5 stages, Oral, Radio, Phallic, Latency, and Genital. Freud believed these stages are what lead to personality development and he heavily focused on sexual maturity at young stages. Neo-freudians (Jung, Adler, and Horney) disagree and think there's more to development. 3. Phallic: between ages 3-6, the child develops libido for the opposite-gender parent and is jealous of the same parent. The erogenous zone (or the zone of sexual development) are the genitals. The conflicts would be Oedipus conflict with Castration Anxiety (Males) and Electra Complex with Penis Envy (Females) 4. Oedipus Complex: Male child has libido for the opposing-sex parent (mother) and is jealous of the same-sex parent (father). However, this desire stops quickly according to Freud due to Castration Anxiety (Fear that the father will damage the child's genitals) 5. Electra Complex: Same logic as Oedipus complex but it's females and is therefore flip-flopped. The female child has libido for the father and is jealous of the mother, but this desire ends due to penis envy.
