Which organism do you think is most closely related to a human? Why? Which organisms have five "fingers"? Describe the similarities and differences between a bat's wing and a bird's wing. Which animal's forelimb would you expect a dolphin's flipper to most closely resemble? Why? What does this activity tell you about the relationship between these six organisms?
1. Apes, due to similarities in homologous structures, embryology, DNA sequences and Amino acid positioning, etc.
2. Again apes, all other mammals
3.similarity-in their homology or anatomy or structure differences-in their analogy,or physiology, or complex functioning
4.whale flipper - similarities in: common ancestor, homology
5. Not sure what the organisms are, but you could say that they all evolved from a common ancestor and have some similar traits and DNA sequencing due to similarities in homology.
