what you need to do here is calculate the square footage of each individual wall because there are open spaces. Also 18x16 would calculate the square footage of the floor. So for example with image one you need to muliply: 2 x 9= 18 12 x 9 =108 16 x 9 = 144 16 x 9 = 144 18 x 9 = 162 162 + 144 +144 + 108 + 18 = x square feet of paint
