which best describes cultural conservatism in the Islamic empires? a) Muslim mariners set sail to proselytize and convert foreign peoples to Islmaic principles b) Shiite muslims forced sufism out of the empires' art, music, literature, and architecture. c) Islamic clerics embraced the use of the printing press to spread Muslim doctrines. d)few Muslims willingly traveled to infidel lands to learn and absorb foreign learning.
A- Proselytizing would be going out and telling people to join. That's not culturally conservative. B-This is culturally conservative, as Shiite Muslims want their own cultural values in their ecumene, not some other's. C-This is again similar to option A. D-This option slightly tricked me when it said 'few Muslims' but it's not conservative behavior as they are willing to learn other customs. The option is B.
thanks :)
