The first part is asking for cross section area If you spilt the prism youll get something like this If you want to find the area of the cross section, youre basically taking the area of the rectangle (use length x width)

For the second part: Surface area of a rectangular prism is \(A = 2wl + 2lh + 2hw\) w = width l = length h = heigh Substitute the values they gave you into the equation and you can solve for the surface area
