the entire rectangle is the actual area of the shelf the left rectangle is what she estimated the shelf to be clearly she underestimated a bit so eliminate choices A+B you can find the area she "missed" by calculating the area on the rectangle on the right it has length 15 and a 1/2, and width (26 and 3/8 - 25) calculate this area (try estimating first, and if that doesn't narrow it down enough, try an exact solution)
