how did humanism contribute to the scientific revolution

Gdeinward:

Before the introduction of humanism, the people of that time were largely religious, and often did niot contradict the ideas of the church. This meant that not a lot of advancements were made in science, as science often contradicts with religion. The definition of humanism is An outlook or system of thought attaching prime importance to human rather than divine or supernatural matters. With the introduction of this belief, people weren't afraid to contradict the ideas of the church and therefore had more time and the chance to make significant advancements in not only Science but technology and the arts. Essentially humanism brought to life and influenced what is known as the renaissance.

Gdeinward:

in accordance with google here is a better explanation of humansim: An outlook or system of thought attaching prime importance to human rather than divine or supernatural matters.
