You will have kids you don't like. Why is it critical that they never know you don't like them? I have an answer but I'm in college so I need a decent answer.
It's for education
1. I agree; relationships are very important in classrooms because that is what your students will remember. They may not remember the material they learned but, they will remember the impact that you made on their lives. 2. A +2 instead of a -18 gives the student confidence. If you put an F on their paper, your student will think of themselves as a failure. They will not want to try harder next time due to lack of confidence.
Part I- (30 points) Watch the Every Kid Needs a Champion video. Answer the following questions: 1. The premise of the video is that relationships with students are important in classrooms. Do you agree or disagree? Why? 2. She talks about giving a +2 rather than a -18. As a teacher I would check off correct answers then ask students to go back and fix the ones that were not checked. How do you think this affects students rather than seeing incorrect marks on the paper? 3. You will have kids you don't like. Why is it critical that they never know you don't like them?
Wow, I thought you meant as a parent.
no
1. I agree; relationships are very important in classrooms because that is what your students will remember. They may not remember the material they learned but, they will remember the impact that you made on their lives. It is your job to make students feel important and become the best version of themselves that they can be.
Is that good?
Because the prompt didn't ask for an agree/disagree I wouldn't include the "I agree" Maybe It is important to not allow your students to know that you dislike them to maintain a positive and healthy relationship. Positive relationships within the classroom is extremely important because it is what your students will remember. They may not remember the material but, they will remember the impact you've made on their lives. It is your job to make students feel important and become the best version of themselves that they can be. Side note: Just because you're in college doesn't mean you have to try harder, you always have to do your best to see where you are at and how to improve. :)
so is that just for 3? Are my answers good for the first 2?
Oh this is all connecting to a video?
yes but it is your opinion.
not based on the video per se
I mean yes, but I still need to watch the video to understand what they mean by +2 and -18 and I need to watch to understand the goal of the video
+2 as in 2 correct instead of -18 (18 incorrect)
