Body categorizing. It's where different body formats are categorized. In layman's term, if you see a man with a relatively large 'width' you would consider him to be fat, or if not then thin. Somatotyping goes much deeper than that, though. If I remember correctly, Sheldon's theory of Somatotypes categorizes the 3 main forms of somatotypes: ectomorphs, endomorphs, and mesomorphs. I forgot their actual implication though, feel free to look it up.
