In China, there were 'qigong masters' that have healed people's illnesses before.
They emitted energy that were detected by scientists who used apparatuses to measure what and how powerful their emitted substances were (like neutrons).
But there was one famous qigong master who emphasized virtue, and he said that those people who teach you how to heal other's diseases all had spirit/animal possession that did the actual healing, and it manipulates people to get fame and money. (Once they were able to heal other people, they could get both fame and money). But in return, the animal would get your human essence, so after it leaves your body, your limbs will feel very weak or be in a vegetative state, so it wasn't worth it.

I thought this was interesting to share for "spirit animals".
