Maggie has 7 tiles with pictures of plants and 2 tiles with pictures of animals. Maggie keeps all the tiles on a mat with the pictures hidden and mixes them up. She then turns one tile face up and finds the picture of a plant on it. She removes this tile from the mat and turns over another tile without looking. What is the probability that the second tile that Maggie turns over has a plant on it? 22.2% 28.6% 65.0% 75.0%
well probability is number of possible outcomes divided by the number of desired outcomes
NO DIRECT ANSWERRRRRSSSSS
Gdein, do you or do you not understand that you are allowed to explain it and a direct answer is considered just saying "d"
You can have better explanations without giving the answer but for this one its kinda pointless to say 6/8 and not say the percentage
HEY Ive tried doin that and hero got on my a**
Angel we didn't make the rules, but once I did explain it and I still got in trouble.
and its favorable outcomes divided by possible outcomes
I've been on this site for over two years, I think i know what you are allowed to do thank you c:
"You can explain how to solve it, but you can't solve it for them." - Hero
well seeing as how I got to level 53 and i havnt been on here a year, I know what to do
Hero never gave me any problems for this but thank you, so kindly please stop
Angel, there's no need to get triggered and controversial. It's a discussion of the rules, not politics. Greater experience doesn't deem you any superiority.
but it does help in making you more qualified
Gdein, seeing as I had multiple accounts and spent time to lower my ss to stay purple because it isy favorite color I say that it is not your place to make thay statement. Please stop arguing on a post Hope I was helpful @Pepoil cx
Gdein and Angel, if you want to compare experience, go ahead and do that in the election debates, not on a homework help site. Once again, this isn't politics.
And just because @Hero or someone did not get you in trouble for something doesn't mean the rule doesn't apply to you. As an analogy, just because you didn't get pulled over for a speeding ticket doesn't mean you have the license to speed.
payload, I highly suggest stopping. You are fueling the argument
Payload if you hqve a problem please take it into dms, please stop spamming the post.
sometimes its best to let it go
Gdein, you are the one that called it an argument to start with. This isn't an argument. It's a clarification of the rules. I'll leave this for Hero to explain, as I'm not a moderator. I've just been informed in the past of this procedure.
We can solve the question for them it doesn't matter. The explanation doesn't matter if it's obvious or not I don't see why this needs to be dragged out. Whoever asked the question got a way to figure it out themselves in the future leave it be and let it be over.
Interesting conversation. @angel knows better. #NeverSayNever
One, you never told me this so ha. Two I explained it so it wasn't a direct answer lol, it was so obvious that with the explanation (6/8) saying 75 is much of a difference
Three, you didn't @ me
Fight me Herito e.e
So i didn't do anything wrong~ Tyvm
