bill533:

Students were studying the effects of hot and cold temperatures on the speed of molecules. Three dissolving bath tablets were placed in each of three tubs of water. The first tub had hot water, the second tub had cold water and the third tub had room-temperature water. The length of time it took for the tablets to completely dissolve was recorded. The results were then compared. What was the control in the experiment? A) The number of dissolving tablets. B) The water at room temperature. C) The cold water. D) The hot water.

bill533:

i believe it is A or B

Gdeinward:

You are correct with B. THis is because the tablets were used in every tub of water, so it is not the control. Also the experiment is studying the effects of hot and cold, not room temperature
