Learning is different for different students with different states of consciousness i.e. different learning habits, different approaches to enriching their learning, different styles of learning, different home backgrounds and possible distractions that hinder learning. Not every student is in the correct environment for effective learning to take place. Some students love homework. Most hate it. A percentage doesn't even do it or take it seriously. To each his own. Neverthless, to do away with homework completely would be one of the most epic fails in history.
