@misty34

misty34:

Which answer do you think it is?

Nicole:

True?

misty34:

I also think it's true

misty34:

Just wanted to see what you thought first

Nicole:

why do u think its true

misty34:

I think it's false. I accidentally read the wrong letter. I think it's false because for this to be true BE would have to be perpendicular to ED to created a 90 degree angle

Nicole:

but isnt BD intersecting AD ?

Gdeinward:

Its true.

Gdeinward:

this is an accurate proof

Nicole:

so it is intersecting

Gdeinward:

No BE is intersecting AD

Nicole:

i meant BE sorry

Gdeinward:

thats okay. But yes it is intersecting. The proof is accurate.

Gdeinward:

what do you think?

Nicole:

false

Nicole:

because ABD isnt 90 degrees

Gdeinward:

Correct. Good job. You seem to know your stuff

Nicole:

Alternate interior angles add to 180 degrees. True False

Gdeinward:

what do you think?

Nicole:

false?

Nicole:

@Gdeinward @Narad

Gdeinward:

that is correct

Narad:

Aply the properties of the angles when 2 lines are parallel?

Gdeinward:

all you gotta do is set the equations equal to each other.

Nicole:

-35

Narad:

Yes but not with yhe minus sign

Nicole:

okay

Gdeinward:

nah theres something wrong, @mhcen

Gdeinward:

@mhchen

Nicole:

What do you mean?

Gdeinward:

well if you imput 35 into the equation for the first line you get 180 degrees, which unless its not drawn to scale, is unaccurate

Nicole:

so what should we do to solve it

Gdeinward:

dunno hence my contact towards chen

Gdeinward:

perhaps it because of the types of angles

Gdeinward:

Do you know the relationship of the angles?

mhchen:

|dw:1568906189647:dw|

mhchen:

|dw:1568906224558:dw|

mhchen:

|dw:1568906267302:dw|

mhchen:

@nicole got it?

Nicole:

then what do I do?

Nicole:

@Vocaloid @Gdeinward

Nicole:

Set them equal to each other?

mhchen:

You know this right: |dw:1568909641507:dw|

Nicole:

Yes

mhchen:

Then |dw:1568909740858:dw| right?

Nicole:

yes

mhchen:

Can you solve for x in that equation

Nicole:

35

mhchen:

Nice

Nicole:

So its is 35 right lol?

Nicole:

it is*

Nicole:

because before I thought it was wrong

mhchen:

Yeah, well I think you said '-35' before

Nicole:

Oh right okay

Nicole:

http://prntscr.com/p8bmf6 is this right?

mhchen:

ye obv, they're congruent angles

Nicole:

and these? I just want to make sure lol http://prntscr.com/p8bngg

mhchen:

Ye they seem alright. Man these are waay too elementary for me, I feel like I get dumber looking at them

Nicole:

its geometry lol

Nicole:

last one tho http://prntscr.com/p8bost i chose that option because the other angle does not have an equation

Nicole:

unless its going to be the same since they are both the same kind of angle

mhchen:

|dw:1568910373134:dw| Perpendicular bisectors always create 90 degree angles right

Nicole:

Yes

Nicole:

so 8x-6=90?

mhchen:

yes

Nicole:

12 okay got it thank you
