new math hep plz :)
figure out if the function is continuous for the following function. \[f(x) = 2^{\frac{ 4 }{ x+1 }}\]
what happens when you have a base to an undefined power?
When the base is undefined, then there is no corresponding f(x) value. The function is discontinuous at that point.
\[f(0) = 2^\frac{ 4 }{ 0 }\]
Also, the limits wouldn't exist either. It would look like this |dw:1568940295916:dw|
So it's undefined
but when i plug x = 0 for the function i don't get any graph on desmos???? what does that mean ?
let me draw just to be more clear
|dw:1568940394502:dw|
Bro that's because it's undefined that's why there's no graph. If you plug in x=0 the power is undefined so the value for x=0 doesn't exist
i mean x=-1
sorry i made a slight mistake
yes that :)
So if you go on desmos it won't show an output b/c it doesn't exist
so the graph is defined at all real numbers except x=-1???
therefore x can't be equal to -1 right? :)
do u speak urdu bhai?
Kya baat hai tum kaise jaanate ho?
Haan bhai
Yes it can't equal -1
So domain is all real numbers but -1
kal ap ne aik post mein kaha tha ke ap eng, ur and a lil but spanish bolte hein :)
ap paksitan se hein kya?
Tum kaahan se hein?
Afghanistan or bhe pakistan
Haan, main thoda jaanata hoon
afghanistan mein toh log farsi bolte hain na?
Farsi pashto or bhe urdu. Ek lamha main aa raha hoon.
I live in the US though. Born here as well. But I know Urdu and a little pashto. Just a moment
apki urdu se lagta hai ke ap pakista ya afghanistan zyada dair nahi rahe lol
nahi. I've never been to Afghanistan, I'm not sure about Pakistan
So don't judge my Roman urdu, my spelling can suck haha
oh icy now. let's talk in the dms, i don't want strangers to know confidential info lol
