There is a problem in the last step of the first image. Notice that you are factoring out \((-4x)\) and not \((4x)\). This means that the sign between \((x^2+1)\) and \((-2x^2+2)\) should be a \(+\) and not a \(-\). Try to foil the expression to convince yourself. Other than that, everything else seems quite alright, you just need to employ the same method to the correct expression.
