Today's how to: Proper speed when someone is trying to pass you. A common misconception is to drive extremely slow, and have a ten car gap. However, whenever someone decides to pass you, you speed up, twice as fast as you were before to inhibit this passing. Instead, one must do the opposite and/or GO TO DRIVERS ED, AGAIN, CUZ YOU DID NOT PAY ATTENTION THE FIRST TIME. This has been the daily how to. Comments BELOW
The daily, common sense how to.
Every Florida driver needs to see this. This happens on the road like..everyday down here.
It does. HENCE WHY I POSTED IT. THis guy gets it.
Oh my gosh. One time I was driving on a control road where the speed limit was 55mph, I was cruising at 65mph, and all of a sudden a slow car appeared in front of me. I had no choice but to stay behind it, and I was driving at 45mph. Big let down. It was a country road, so when it came to the part where it was a dotted yellow line, and I looked at the other lane, the next car on the other lane is extremely far away. My dad approved my decision to pass the car, so I switched to the oncoming lane and attempted to pass the slow car. THE SLOW CAR ALL OF A SUDDEN SPED UP As I was about to pass the car, that car sped up too, so I had to drive even faster, and I put on the gas, VVRRROOOOMMM my engine fired up, and I drove all the way to 80mph just to pass that car. Remember I was on the opposite lane and the oncoming car was coming towards me at 55mph speed limit. The car which was extremely far away saw me speeding up towards it, and it was coming towards me quickly. It probably noticed I was going to crash with it if I don't change lanes again so the oncoming car drifted to the shoulder a bit. Once I passed the car behind me, less than a second later, the oncoming car passed me. |dw:1569601724954:dw| I also sit in the passenger seat with my asian friends driving. They got their license in CA, didn't take driving school. When they drive, they race other cars, tailgate, accelerate fast, put earbuds on their phones, listen to music, and swerve since they like drifting. A lot of times they think they're great drivers for nearly missing accidents just to get ahead faster, and they never think about the safety or concerns of other drivers (rather they complain about other drivers). I asked them if they heard of the 3-second rule, the legal range within a speed limit, they don't know, and they don't even signal. As a passenger I'm hoping I'm safe.
THATS EXACTLY WHAT IM TALKIN ABOUT
Sorry not "control" road, I meant "country road"
I know. But its like why???? whats the point???
Damn. It's an everyday thing on I-4 and it's really annoying because I live near the I275-I4 junction (apparently the most dangerous highway in North America) and here we have these radical rednecks driving massive trucks all drunk and doing the same crap. Only yesterday, I saw a deadly crash where the car flew into a lake all for the same reason. The drivers were tailgating, got road rage, and you know what happens.
I always see just normal dumb people doing that.
I mean you see the redneck every now and then, but its neither here nor there
