Nicole:

What is the contrapositive of the statement ”If an angle measures more than 180 degrees, then it is a reflex angle”? If an angle is a reflex angle, then it measures more than 180 degrees. If an angle does not measure more than 180 degrees, then it is not a reflex angle. If an angle is not a reflex angle, then it does not measure 180 degrees. If an angle measures more than 180 degrees, then it is not a reflex angle.

Nicole:

@Hero @Gdeinward so the third option is correct?

Hero:

Correct

Nicole:

I think false

Gdeinward:

I thought so, but what threw me off was that then it does not measure 180 degrees. The previous statement referred to more than 180 degrees.

Hero:

I think it might be a typo @Gdeinward

Gdeinward:

same.

Nicole:

is it possible to be the second option?

Gdeinward:

I dunno. Im not the best when it comes to proofs. I think @mhchen would be good for this

mhchen:

The converse is just: "If two angles are congruent, then they are corresponding angles" Is that always true? |dw:1569959473567:dw| I drew an example here. Angle A and B are congruent (vertical angles), but are they corresponding angles?
